The Waterman Serenite is definitely a pen for the rich, but the beauty and quality that went into this pens does reflect its high price. You do get what you pay for, but again, to be blunt, this is a pen for the rich, or for a very serious pen collector. Basically the cheapest of these pens is about $1,000, and the most expensive is around $11,000 or so. There aren’t many models to choose from, but the models that they DO have are hands down the most amazingly crafted pens on the planet, at least in our opinion.

The Waterman Serenite fountain pen has actually been modeled to reflect some of the basic elements of the earth, such as fire, water, wind, and so on. It has a very unique look and feel to it, one that no other pen has yet to mimic, at least not yet. Also, as surprisingly as it is, these pens aren’t full of diamonds, or made with an excessive amount of solid gold. Apparently it is the sheer uniqueness and innovative craftsmanship that makes them as expensive as they are. Also, all of the Waterman Serenite pen models are in the form of the famous fountain pens, just like most other high quality pens. So if you are looking to find the Serenite as a rollerball pen, then you are out of luck unfortunately.

Another interesting fact, is that these Serenite pens have actually been hand crafted, and some of them are made out of real wood. Perhaps this is one of the most unique features of this pen. And how many pens have you seen that are actually hand crafted? Sure, they do exist, but none of them look anything like the Waterman Serenite.
